Start
- Drop a 16-bit grayscale PNG, or click the drop zone to choose one.
- Size must be
tiles × 64 + 1 (example: 1025×1025 → 16×16 tiles).
- Cities are auto-gridded. Name the region, then Download ZIP into
Documents/SimCity 4/Regions/.
- Unsaved work is drafted in this browser. Reload to continue.
Navigate
- Wheel zooms toward the pointer. + / − / Fit in the map toolbar.
- Space-drag or middle-drag pans.
- Z-click zooms in. Alt+Z-click zooms out.
Cities
- Small / Medium / Big place a city on click. Overlapping tiles are replaced.
- Erase city removes the city under the click from the config.
- Cities overlay shows borders on the map.
- Revert config restores the auto-grid without changing terrain.
Draw
- Paints height: Water (below the water line), Green, or a custom colour.
- Sample map (or Alt-click in Draw) picks a nearby colour from the terrain.
- Brush size and softness apply while you drag.
Stamp
- Alt-click the map to pick source terrain (dashed ring).
- Drag to clone that height and grain elsewhere.
- Alt-click again to pick a new source. Size and softness match Draw.
History
- Undo / Redo: Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z (⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z on Mac).
- Reset all clears the map, undo stack, and the saved draft after confirmation.
